Communications Technology Today Provides Resourceful Information for Today’s Rapidly Changing Media Technology
In the mid 1990s, it was estimated that the growth of technology in the digital publishing and information technology fields was growing so rapidly that it would take a minimum of ten hours per day, of reading alone, to keep up. This estimate did not include hands on practical experience.
Technology has grown exponentially since then. Now, the average person would need upwards of ten hours a day to keep up with all the possibilities out there. Television alone offers so many more options than just ten years ago. All forms of communications have become very sophisticated, and sometimes so difficult to understand so as to almost exclude the average person who stands to benefit most from these recent innovations. With each new device, each new mode of communications, comes an altogether new language. Some of this newspeak is intuitive and some of it is not. And some of it is downright hard to understand for the uninitiated.
