Now that prepaid plans are common, it doesn't matter who you are or what type of credit you have, anyone can get one. Most phones have a great selection of different rings and sounds you can use to indicate a call is coming in, but many like to find cool ringtones of their favorite songs to play when someone is calling them. These are very common, and sometimes annoying, but most like to have them. What is really great is that you can usually listen to ringtones before you decide which ones you want to buy. Most of the time, a ringtone is about a dollar to buy and download. There are times though that they are more, and some can be as much as five dollars a pop. When you are laying down that kind of money for a thirty second snippet of a song, you may want to listen to ringtones before you buy them. It wouldn't be a good thing to spend four dollars on a ringtone, only to find it was not what you thought it was, or that it does not sound very good. If you want to listen to ringtones, you have to find a web site in which you can listen before you buy. Most of the bigger sites have this option, and you can find what you are looking for. What is great about the larger sites is that they have been around longer, you know you can trust them, and you are in no danger of downloading a virus. If you listen to ringtones on new or smaller sites, you may hear an inferior quality or that they are not giving you what you think. Not all new or small sites are bad, of course, but it pays to be cautious in this case. You can also buy your ringtones through your mobile phone service if you wish. I know that Verizon has this option, and I am sure many of the other larger name companies will as well. You will have to see if they will let you listen to ringtones before you buy or not, but most will. When you do this, you have the opportunity to find just what you need, and you also may find some great tones that you may not have thought to buy otherwise. Some are cool, some are funny, and many are popular. What counts is that you find one that reflects your personality and your style.
